What My Family Think of Me
by Damonte D. (3rd grade)

My mom see me as a maid
always telling me what to do
But sometimes she sees me as a bunny.
My two brothers see me as a policeman
always helping them.
My seven sisters see me as a box,
always opening me.
And my grandmom sees me as a rose,
always taking care of me.
But I see me as a flower in the grass
because I am sweet.

In the City
By Tanya C. (4th grade)

The cat in the street go meorow.
The puddle go splash.
All the people laughs.
The cake that is baking smell good
but some people say m-m-m.
All the kids love to play,
but they’s scared
and they scraped their knees away.

Untitled
by Tyrone W. (4th grade)

When I am lonely I try to make the
best of it even though I feel really
sad when my mommy is at work
sometimes I just want to run
away or crash to the ceiling
or blow up the house but
I know if I do that me and
my mommy won’t have anywhere
to live sometimes I feel
depressed when my mommy
is not there.

My Wishes
by Khalea (3rd grade)

I wish I had Magic
turning round and round wishing that my dreams come true
spinning off the ground
traveling around the world
make me twirl like the wind
swim with the dolphins
I wish I had magic shoes that can take me anywhere.

Surprised
By Kiona (3rd grade)

I’m so surprised I could shout!!!
maybe I could turn inside out
maybe I can dance with joy
never ever with a boy
I am so surprised I can scream
maybe it could be a dream.
